The U.S. Office of War Information, 1942-1945

The U.S. Office of War Information was created by Executive Order 9182 in 1942 [1]. Its purpose was to spread pro-allied, anti-Axis propaganda concerning WWII. Specifically, that office was used to create anti-German, anti-Japanese and pro-American films, posters, photographs, etc. in order to influence public opinion about WWII, both in America and overseas as well.

Many Jews were employed in the Office of War Information -- some of whom held extreme-left or even Marxist political views. As a result, it seems to us that there could have been a severe conflict of interest in that office. For it is possible that the actions of some of the Jews employed in OWI could have been based on emotion rather than on logic or fact. Since Germany was alleged to have been murdering millions of Jews during WWII, how did that allegation effect the actions of the Jews employed at OWI? Was all of the material created by the Jews at OWI beneficial to American interests or only to Jewish interests? How did the Jewishness of some OWI employees impact the tone or accuracy of the information spread by OWI?

Franz L. Neumann [Frankfurt School icon; importantly, Neumann was the chief researcher in charge of gathering evidence against Nazi/ex-Nazi officials at the Nuremberg Trials. What an amazing conflict-of-interest: a far-left-wing Jew gathering information about Nazis. We wonder: how much of the information catalogued by Neumann for Nuremberg was accurate, and how much of it was angry, Jewish fantasy?] [2]
