America's Support for Israel: Why?

It is not news that America is the world's biggest supporter of the Jewish state of Israel.

In fact, American aid to Israel costs billions of dollars per year. And that's only the financial cost. There are many political costs as well.

America's support for Israel is not popular, either in America or around the world.

So, one might wonder why America continues to support Israel. The answer is simple: America doesn't support Israel simply because it wants to. Instead, powerful Jewish organizations put political pressure on U.S. politicians so that those politicians will support Israel. Any politician who fails to support Israel knows very well that he will lose the next election, since the Jewish groups will spare no expense in making sure of that [1]. That politician may also be called an "anti-Semite" by the Jews if he doesn't support Israel.

Granted, the Jews are a small minority in America, but their political activism skills here are legendary. Indeed, no other racial group in America has the political power that the Jews have.
