20. The Nuremberg Trials. The Allies tried the top Nazi officers for crimes that did not exist before WWII. Indeed, such trials, using ex post facto [after-the-fact] law,
would have been illegal in the U.S. Even some of the Allies directly involved in the Nuremberg trials have admitted that law was not followed at Nuremberg. U.S. general Dwight Eisenhower's brother -- Edgar N. Eisenhower, a lawyer -- admitted that that tribunal was vengeance, not justice. More on
